The wife of a recently retired firefighter commissioned this piece to honor his twenty-five years of service to their local community. I created a layered photographic collage featuring him with his wife and son in his firetruck, alongside his helmet and a handwritten letter from a woman whose life he helped save. The image is printed and mounted on board, with select elements repeated as separate layers to add depth and dimension. The finished work is framed and presented between two additional panels featuring his official fire department decals, each framed individually.
