Born and raised in NYC, JEN HELLMAN’s passion for image-making began in childhood, watching the magic unfold in her father’s basement darkroom.

A Hermosa Beach, CA resident since 1988, Jen strayed from her creative path for many years, earning a Master’s degree in Sports Medicine before returning to her true purpose as an artist and photographer. In 1998, she began developing her distinctive technique of Photomosaics - abstract compositions born from a single photographic image, transformed through repetition and layered design. Mounted on wood, acrylic, or metal and often enhanced with resin, these works offer depth, rhythm, and a tactile sense of movement.

Today, Jen blends her love of photography with a deep curiosity for the world, creating a body of work shaped by global travel and emotional resonance. Her photographs often capture architectural wonders, sweeping landscapes, and fleeting moments-whether human or wild-that stir, stop, or subtly shift something in the viewer.

Her creativity always evolving, you will currently find her photographing and creating new works of art for many customers with her images on different materials. All pieces can be framed to your liking.

Living in Hermosa Beach with her husband, Jen finds joy in beach volleyball and in continuing to explore the world’s beauty-one frame at a time.
